The course covers special mathematical methods of fluid mechanics. The focus is on perturbation methods which allow to understand properties of flow configurations analytically by means of asymptotic series. The application to flow mechanics is compared to other areas such as statistical physics.

No strict prerequisites, but an affection to math is expected.
